The Quest image can be changed at any time to an image that is currently being hosted online. There are two ways to get image links:

  1. Choose a link from our library of Quest images
  2. Create your own custom image link

To create your own image links, follow these instructions:

  1. Use or create an image with a transparent background that will be used as the findable Quest item:
    1. Create the image using a tool that supports transparency (Photoshop, Photopea, GIMP, Canva with transparency). Remember to remove or hide the background so the image’s canvas is transparent.
    2. The image must to be the exact size you want the Quest Item to be in the world. We suggest a max dimensions of 200px x 200px.
    3. Export/download the image to your computer as as png (not jpg).
    4. Crop the image to only the the visible area of the image.
  2. Upload and host the image on a web-based image hosting service. The service must provide a crossorigin attribute (CORS-enabled) for the image and able to generate a unique direct image link that does not expire. If you are unfamiliar any of this this, we suggest using a free hosting service like ImgBB (details below).
  3. Copy the direct link of the image from the hosting service and paste it into the Quest Item Image URL field on the settings page of the Quest app.
